"The line-shaped images of the digital projector are used as lighting for the high-speed rotating model. The model's high-speed rotation is synchronized with the lighting by a rotating polygon mirror that reflects the line-shaped CG images of the digital projector. The type of lighting is controlled by a touch panel." (credits: Takashi Fukaya & Yuko Yamanouchi, NHK Science and Technical Research Laboratories, & Toshio Iwai)

  • it looked better live, but I'm glad you were able to tape it, I thought there weren't any cameras allowed on the show.

  • It depends where. You can't tape anything in most of the presentation (courses, panels, sketches, etc.) unless you've a press pass, but I've always been able to tape things in the emerging technologies exhibit and the exhibition hall.

  • strange,but interesting

  • The video I took doesn't do the exhibit justice. The oscillation in the frame rate competes with the strobe light rythms. I person, it was amazing to see this fractured and twisted house looking like it was really there changing form. Totally useless, but yeah, pretty cool.
