Yes, birds are reptiles. In fact us humans have some reptile in us, but yes, it is true the birds were previously placed in their own class, class Aves, however recent genetic evidence tells us that they are in fact reptiles. Modern birds most likely evolved from small two-legged dinosaurs called theropods.

@StlyDutch If an eagle = eagle, then why can't a person = a person and a country = a country, since you're trying to make this Germany vs. the USA? People are just pointing out eagle facts that you're disregarding to make a point. Nothing wrong with that. *shrug*

@jonathanccast The Bald Eagle was not the symbol of Germany. Bald Eagles are ONLY found in North America. The eagle used as a symbol of Germany was therefore a different type of eagle.
