@sandyyang09 my friend, who has the Mien channel on Youtube, her mother makes and sells the bean paste. She lives in Sacramento and from what I hear, her mother is an expert bean paste maker and you'll probably get a really good batch! Just give mienchannel an email! I hope that helps

Kasoy is originated from Lue people aka Jien Pa Ae (pronounced in Mienh). It is not Mienh food at all.

@trance4mation and to add to that, laos was backed by the vietnamese, the chinese, and russians and the hmong and mien still held them off for over a decade with minimal weaponry and financial support from the US, hmong and mien are way tougher than you lao, vietnamese, or chinese, if hmong and mien were united from china, laos, vietnam, thailand, burma, and supplied heavily with weapons and financial assistance, neither laos, vietnam, thailand, nor china could stop us
