The toy is such an obvious fail I just had to open it up to see just what its workings were trying to accomplish. After studying the complex mechanism it appears the toy was designed to open the mouth on a leg pull and raise the left eye brow on a leg push. The protoytype of the toy may have had a sillicone face which may have responded as the designers planned however I suspect by the time this reached production, vinyl was used for the face making it too stiff for proper action. Just my take on this horrible execution of an 'action figure'.

  • How come your cat's eyes can stay slit and mine go thick when I stop pushing on it? :[

  • @ZombieLoanYuuta I presume you mean the button does not 'pop out' to its 'normal' unpressed position after pressing it? Could be that the return spring may have come off the catch or the catch broke. Could be something sticky like coke syrup making the button stick. I have not dis-assembled Cute-Eyes 'cause he's so darn cute, so, I can't tell you much about it's inner workings.

  • Your toy was faulty. Mine works. I might do a video about it. You just have too push very hard both ways, up or down. I noticed that your insides were loose. They weren't grasping the inner mechanism like they should of. Maybe they got banged loose before they gave it to you at McDonalds.

  • @Gingymann I don't know why this got flagged as spam. I'll see if I can correct that. Please do show us a video of a working toy. I know of at least 3200 people that would like to see one working. As for the insides being loose, that's what happens upon dis-assembly. The inner mechanism is held in place by the two halves of the body. Removing half of the mechanisms support results in sloppiness.
