@ILoveFriedFetus as 12 year dancer, you can tell this isn't Natalie's body dancing throughout the whole movie, Sara definitely deserved the credit she got for the dancing scenes as well as Natalie for her acting

@aprilthrusday but...she's a double, she's just like a stunt man. You're not supposed to know they are there. OF COURSE they tried to hide her. When I saw the movie I knew Portman wasn't doing most of the dancing and anyone who think she actually WAS dancing like that is an idiot.

@HinajikuDumpling i think he means that she is not putting 200% of her effort into her turns... 'attack it' is kind of like when photographers ask models to 'be fierce', you go into every movement with your all like you're already on stage, with a kind of ferocity and passion. that's how i interpret it, anyway. hope this helps!

Agreed, the movie was about her losing her mind by trying to strive for perfection. All the talk of who danced is nonsense. Besides if you know the true "Swan Lake Ballet", you could pick the movie apart more. The "Dying Swan" is not part of the traditional Swan Lake. It is a very short ballet written in the 20's-30's called THE SWAN. "Dying Swan" was choreographed for Anna Pavlova who for the first time danced on pointe. Prior to that dance was bare foot or half toe.Enjoy the movie 4 wht it is
