fobbit means a soldier who stays on the fob. Grunt means Infantry. Infantry do the fighting, fobbits do the logistics etc. Infantry are the boys in comat outposts, getting attacked, killing, dieing etc. Basically, grunts are "in the shit" while fobbits are in the fob...

@SSGTKNG "Logar" and wardak are not "right on the border" they are just south of Kabul...Khost and Kunar are "right" on the border...But regardless logar and wardak are fucked up places.

I don't know where you people are getting your information about Wardak and the Lopar Valley it is right on the border with Pakistan and the insurgents called it the "Gates to Jihad". It is a fuckin mess. I am with the 2nd Combat Brigade, 1-87 Calvary unit, 10th Mountain and we are chasing those bastard up and down those mountains. Now with the Marines currently engaging in an aggressive offensive in the Helmend province we are sweeping up the end up the Taliban, body and soul.
