In 1938, Universal made 'Little Tough Guy' starring Billy Halop, Huntz Hall, Gabriel Dell, and Bernard Punsly. They decided to create a series and eventually Halop, Hall, Dell, Punsly, and occasionally Bobby Jordan rejoined the cast. Others appearing include David Gorcey, Hally Chester, Billy Benedict, Harris Berger, Jackie Cooper, Frankie Thomas, James McCallion, Charles Duncan, Norman Abbott, and Kenneth Lundy.
The "Little Tough Guy" series contains 12 films and 3 serials, all of which are featured in this video. The music heard is the intro music to 'Little Tough Guy' and also used in a few of the other films. This version is from 'Call a Messenger.'
Cool, where did you find these? Wish somebody would upload some of them, I'd particularly like to see You're Not So Tough, Give Us Wings, Tough as They Come, and Mug Town. I became a fan of these guys back in 2003, I've seen the Dead End Kid films made at Warner Brothers but the only Universal Little Tough Guy films I've seen are Little Tough Guy and Hit the Road. They never come on T.V., I would've thought TCM would've shown them by now.

slap wienstein, otherwise known as Snatch was the son of an unorthodox Assyerian rabbi.
He earned his fame by slapping people, then ducking.
