This rule was set in place because with changing times comes the need to change to keep up. The military is heavily political now and politics say that professionals don't have big tattoos. I say it's bullshit but in the Marine Corps we follow our orders. Just try to lay off the ink until you find the job you know you will want for your life. Then get the tattoo you want within the regulations of your work place's tattoo policy
