  • In my 80s childhood, I had the best times with that console! I then had the Gen, Saturn Game Gear + tv tuner! and the awesome Dreamcast.

  • Ahh...I miss Sega. I suppose I ended being more or a nintendo person, seeing as my first console was an N64 , but previous to that most of the people I knew had a megadrve and I would often play them and I remember thinking how brilliant the graphics were on the sega, if not always the game play. There was something about the sega attitude which really summed up the nineties. I know this advert is from the eighties but the adverts following this one really captured the ethos of a time now gone.

  • scrolling backgrounds!!

    fuck these were the days!

  • Look up "Sega PlayValue" for an awesome group of web documentaries on this, better than anything G4 airs.

  • Left this comment on another Sega video - I miss how the art work used to be for Atari, Nintendo, and Sega games used to be. The art work is cool today on the boxes, but there's just something not right about it or something not cool as it used to be about it. And it's not a nostalgic thing either, I really think it was better than todays current designs.

  • @dogeymon83 It didn't need to, Nintendo had the games! lol

  • I own everything in this commercial, wow

  • @MadaraStv Youth is wasted on the young.

  • FRESH!

  • Oh cmon don't laugh at these ads xD - 20 years ago that must of been really high tech. But how can I know I wasn't even tought of back then xD.

  • This is back when advertising execs were too new to video games in general to know the difference between video games and video game consoles.

"Sega challenges you with the ultimate video game."
