I love Diorothy's dazzling performance in this clip. She must have enjoyed her fame as an actress though she did not appear in motion pictures. Young artists ought to be interested in what their parents' generations enjoyed decades ago. Just because young and new does not make them splendid.
Just wonderful. It's heartbreaking to think that performers and song like this are part of a long-vanished era. Reliving them here is a dream come true. And by the way, consider how often Dorothy Collins is singing LIVE, not prerecorded, in these clips.
Wonderful-What a show, and a great cast, especially Miss.Collins.-She started singing very young, and won a talent contest, and sang on the radio within the Detriot area. She sang with Raymond Scott and his orchestra on the radio in the middle forties. She toured with his orchestra, and started out with both radio and tv versions of Your Hit Parade. She was multi-talented. We saw her in Follies -on Broadway in 1971-she was the greatest tn that musical-She sang and it was pure magic. We miss her,
YAY!! This is probably one of my favorites of the Extra's she did on "Hit Parade". Almost like going back in time when you watch it.. amazing to think this what network television use to be so elegant and charming! Bravo Dorothy!

Thanks for posting this clip. Once I heard a Judy Garland version of this song. Dorothy was as splendid as Judy. Sad to face both are now deceased.
