1. Add text that you want
2. Use the magic wand in global mode, to select text
3. Make a new layer
4. With the text selected use gradient (Linear Gradient) with the color of the text
and a darker shade of that color.
5. Use Gaussian Blur with a distance of 5
6. Duplicate your 1st text layer and move it above the gradiented text layer
7. Use Brightness and Contrast and make the text white (set both to 100)
8. Use the magic wand in global mode, to select the white text
9. Use the Move Selection tool to make the selection a little bit smaller
10. Press delete on your keyboard the press Shift and F on your keyboard (or repeat Gaussian Blur)

  • I'm having a problem putting "Text" over an image?

I'm putting 2 images side by side on one layer and then adding another layer for text, only when I type the text doesn't appear?

What am I doing wrong, it really is getting frustrating, it shouldn't be this difficult for something that should be really easy!

    Please help. Thanks

    John
