You are aware that they wouldn't have been working on it for THE ENTIRE 7 YEARS right? Modding is not their job, it is their hobby - it's done in their spare time. Plus shit happens when making a mod as part of a team: people leave, development freezes from time to time, stuff gets thrown out and redone, stuff gets lost, etc.
