Lil' Wayne detained (arrested) by Border Patrol in the Rio Grande Valley (Texas)

U.S. Border Patrol agents detained rapper Lil' Wayne and 11 of his entourage members at the Falfurrias Checkpoint.

Lil' Wanye preformed in Hidalgo Texas just a day earlier.

RIO GRANDE VALLEY - Rapper Lil' Wayne made an unexpected stop along his tour through South Texas. He's been detained at a federal checkpoint in Falfurrias after drugs were discovered on his tour bus.

Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, also know as Lil' Wayne, didn't make it far after last night's appearance at Dodge Arena in Hidalgo, Texas. He's one of twelve people being detained by federal agents, suspected of drug possesion.

Border Patrol spokesman Joe Treviño confirms Lil' Wayne was aboard one of two tour busses heading to Laredo for a Friday night performance. A Border Patrol k-9 detected marijuana. A search of the two busses revealed an undetermined amount of marijuana.

Lil;' Wayne and his entourage have been detained for questioning. No charges have been filed.

His concert at the Laredo Entertainment Center has been cancelled.
