PLEASE READ this background information before passing judgment on this production:
Mike Carpenter does some freaky sounds which I happen to like. The eerie sounds of bowed Electric Guitar take me back in time with mental imagery. The Lyrics to this song also painted a striking image of pain and the odd ritual of self-induced slow poisoning via Alcohol that has historically left nasty scars in the very fabric of our modern society. That is why I merged the theme of the lyrics with images that included a few notorious celebrities and and a couple of infamous political figures. The theme of this little video is one of tragic satire with a message and a warning as a Public Service Reminder. I am warning that this video may not be appropriate for all viewers as there are some images that some might find at least mildly disturbing.
This is only another silly fan video set to images that relate to the lyrics. Hopefully nobody will get too upset by the political or other controversial imagery present during these 7 long minutes. The main message of the video is in the very end so you won't understand it unless you watch the whole thing.

Liquor Store (Kevin Galloway)
Take me down to the liquor store now
I need my poison close at hand
Take me down to the liquor store now
The devil's dealt me an idle hand
I was born on a train on the fourth of July
Bout the time that my dad died in Nam
Wasn't given a chance or even a name
Spent a night in my sweet mama's arms
Then she gave me away to a railyard bum
Who drank bourbon and walked with a limp
Been a riding these rails since I drew my first breath
Guess to die here would only seem fit
So won't ya please now
Take me down to the liquor store now
I need my poison close at hand
Take me down to the liquor store now
The devil's dealt me an idle hand
I put thirty-two grand on a horse name Believe
And the jockey fell off of it's back
Now I'm really in deep with the shark this time
He'll kill me for cuttin me slack
And my wife and my son are all I think about
And the pain is just too much to bare
So I'm searching for grace in the bottle tonight
Ever fearful of what's drawing near
So mister please now
Take me down to the liquor store now
I need my poison close at hand
Take me down to the liquor store now
The devil's dealt me an idle hand
Daddy hit her too hard on the days he was drunk
And quite often he'd touch her all wrong
So she grew up without a clue in the world
Just about what love really was
Now you'll find her up town selling pleasure for cash
To only the worst kind of men
There's a hole in her soul that she fills with a drink
And tonight she'll cry out again
Won't you please now
Take me down to the liquor store now
I need my poison close at hand
Take me down to the liquor store now
The devil's dealt me an idle hand
Take me down to the liquor store now
I need my poison close at hand
Take me down to the liquor store now
The devil's dealt me an idle hand

I'm friends with Uncle Lucius and they are all great guys! Where is this recording from? It's definitely not the one from "Something They Ain't" (their first album) or their new album - so it must be live. Is it from the Saxon Pub, maybe? Vive Uncle Lucius!

They used to have the song posted on their website for free download but it is no longer available. I actually discovered them by way of Youtube and fell in Love with their sound but I don't remember the name of the Album it was included with. You are probably a bit more familiar with their music than I am.
