hahaha loved it when you said your 70-200 f4 is shit. I don't have the money for primes so I'm sticking with at least 2.8 zoom as I have a copy of the 24-70 myself. Good video!

The lens is great either way, but I actually bought the 35 anticipating going full-frame. On my 1D it made a great 50mm(@45.5mm) lens. For a 7D, because it is 1.6x crop, a 35mm will be close to a normal 50mm (@56mm) as well. So if you are looking for something similar to a 35mm, for your 7D, grab the 24mm L 1.4 II which will be 38.5mm, and 35mm for a 56mm equivalent; etc.

did you find the 1d mk II do the 35mm F/1.4 justice considering its 1.3x crop factor? (assuming you bought it before your 5d). I only ask because i'm looking at purchasing one for my 7d!
