First Off, Thanks to Emm for sharing this product on his blog.

You can purchase the item here
http://www.carryspeed.com/
(Or on Ebay)

I got my camera, I needed to shoot outdoors; I needed a Viewfinder. Most of the viewfinders out in the market uses a sticky metal frame to attach the Magnetic Viewfinder. And if we use that for our 60D or with any articulating screen, we wouldn't be able to close the LCD screen. What I really dig about this product is that it doesn't require a sticky frame. In fact, it is the cheapest viewfinder without the use of sticky frame. (1 caution though, there are some fake ones on ebay which we should avoid.) I was really impressed of its performance. It really holds up strongly with both snap and magnetic force. It was sturdier than the LCDVF. (Which is a great tool) The only down side of this item is that it doesn't have a diopter on, but if it did have, we couldn't expect for it to be as cheap as $60.

Pros
-No sticky Frame
-Strong Magnetic frame
-Really sturdy when attached
-Price
-Free Shipping
-Big Eyecup
-Compact

Cons
-Couldn't use eye cushion
-No Diopter

For it's price, It is a great performer. High quality metal with slik design. Definitely worth Buying!

  • Hi, thanks for the review. Like you, I wear glasses. Do you find you can use the viewfinder with your glasses?

  • @MichaelVAntony I don't use glasses when Shooting. Also, some viewfinders provide diopter for you to adjust to your eye sight. But this particular unit has none.

  • I use a battery grip, are there any extended plate's around? Or maybe a different brand viewfinder?

  • @sp00n777 They might be coming out with new designs. Or you can check out products from zacuto and letus

  • why wouldn't u be able to close the screen if u have the sticky one on?

  • @shapeworkstudios1 Because It wasn't designed to put a sticky frame on the lcd, also, it adds a length. Go try for yourself :)

  • so it doesn't actually articulate? like you can only use it when the screen is locked in place?

  • @KayWildcat u should be able to use a shoe mounted viewfinder (like i said in my other response. its more expensive though. tristatecamera .c o m/prod uct/Hoodman_HCRN_Hoodcrane_Hot_S hoe_Mo unt_for_LCD_Accessories_HC RN.ht ml?re fid=279

    (take out the spaces :D)

  • @KayWildcat idk.i guess not if u were using the tripod mount... that stinks. i have seen some viewfinders that mount onto the accesory shoe. idk.

  • @shapeworkstudios1 ...so if you have a battery pack with the 60D, you can't use this with it?

  • cant find it on the website :(
