  • In reality it's called socialized medicine. But libs like to redefine everything because they live in a dream world not facing reality. That's why socialized medicine is a Utopian ideal for you all because it is run by the government and what could go wrong? Everything. From spending to much money on the program to rationing life saving resources from people to save money.

Besides, we can't afford another government program now what makes you think we can afford socialized medicine?

  • I don't dog insurance companies at all because our insurance has spent over 4 hundred grand on our special needs kid with no questions ask. I'm very happy and don't believe all the made up stories about how rotten insurance companies are. Because of our good doctors and insurance, our kid will soon have a normal life.

  • Stick a fork in Doggett...he's done.

  • @forwardmover Because he represents Liberal Austin.

  • Why do Texans let this left wing radical Lloyd Doggett represent them? You can see this socialist's record on line

  • We need more representatives that truly represent the majority of the people. Those representatives would be a good mix of conservative and Libertarian. That meaning fiscally conservative, for very small government, and not looking to legislate behavior or thoughts. Too many hard liberals and conservatives want to legislate behavior and thoughts (ie hate crimes, marriage, and abortion). Most of the actual laws should be local and not federal at all.

  • Does stupidity run in your family? I got it from the same show that came up with "Dubya" (making fun of his accent) and "neocons."

Fuck off.....Vladimir Lenin had a works for morons like yourself....'useful idiots.'

    Kill yourself.

  • Odumma? Democons? What faggoty right-wing talk show host did you get these terms from? This is the best you can come up with? It's no wonder that the right is full of half-wits and "dittoheads." Kill yourself.

  • some lady says, "you're not representing me." well that's because your a conservative. you lose. thx, k, bye.

  • Why don't we just vote out most of Congress? Politicians always get re-elected thus they can become corrupt and inefficient. If we change that, make them petrified they're going to get voted out than they will work more for the people. Change our politicians frequently and make them scared of not getting re-elected and term limits will do a lot to fix the problem.

  • More likely the administrative costs have increased to deal with increased government regulation and lawsuits.

There is an appeal process when insurance companies deny claims including court. Good luck when the government denies your claim.

  • That's net. What's changed has been the administrative costs. As recently as fifteen years ago, they averaged about 5%. Today, these costs are anywhere from 15 to 20%. Much of the increase has gone to pay more people to deny claims, and also to dump employer coverage for employers whose employees prove to be more expensive than average. This puts folks in the ironic position of paying the salaries of folks whose main job is to deny claims.
