Here is me and my son (and some of my mother) running the sled dog cart. No+Snow = Dog Cart instead of dog sled. I started with 3 dogs but one of the dogs (Don't worry I wont mention your name Cubby) pulled his harness off because he doesn't like to run close to the cart. Plus Hiccup got a bit tangled up in the leads so I had to stop half way back to get her untangled. As you can tell the two dogs are just tuckered out in the end. The dogs names are Sneezy, Hiccup, and Cubby! They are long distance runners and not sprinters.

  • @lunafringe10 Your too funny!. All of these dogs love to pull. You obviously never worked with animals before otherwise you would know that there is a relationship between dogs and man. These dogs are not slaves, nor are they just pets. They are hard workers and friends of the family. They are treated very very well and although they are all retired Iditorod racers, and are getting on in years, they still act like little puppies when the snow sled comes out!

  • The dogs are all retired sled dogs that needed a good home so when my parents got them they were already named. But I am sure there was a good reason, just not sure what it is.

  • @lunafringe10 Because the dogs probably like to pull them, rather than the people making them pull them?

Notice how the dog is barking at the beginning, it's barking because it wants to pull, not sit and wait. Dogs don't have to, and if they didn't want to pull them then they wouldn't. Why must "you wretched idiot" not understand this?

  • Were's your Siberian Husky. I have 2 that will drag me down the road on a walk..

Great video. Check out TheMyamax :-)

  • lol @ the turn. They know where to go after their sled pull.

I don't think people understand how powerful the pulling, herding, and jumping instinct that some dogs have. If it isn't exercised they get really antsy.

  • You are probaly a dog sled owner. I used to have a mutt husky/ labrador. He lived 15 years.

  • my dogs arent on a chain, and dont have to work, they are funny and charming, and loveable, thats why i keep them, why dont u pull the sledge ?

  • all animals are being exploited, yes, let humans pull this stupid sledge, i think a dog likes to run around and sniff out things, i should know, i got 4, why dont you walk?

its much better for your health, Get out of your cars and walk,

  • cant you walk? are your legs crippled? why must the dogs pull you wretched idiots?

  • I take it "Cobb" wasn't in the mood to excersize that day? Lol. My kinda dog! hehe. I had a huskie who was strong as I don't know what. He coulda pulled a pick up and I'm not exagerating. that dog escaped his pen I don't know how many times, chewed a whole in the chainlink fence little by little till he made a hole big enough to get through, broke chain after chain till we had to get a cow chain for him, literally! Great dog though, escape artist, but great dog! and loyal and protective.
