the fact they';re remaking these awesome series of games and finally localizing them all to the US makes me cry in joy. seriously i replay Ys 1+2 just to hear the games' epic music scores :)

back when games were easy, but they didn't hold yer hand to make you seek out EVERY little item XD

Action Adventure or not, it's still regarded as one of the flagship series of the Action rpg genre. Yes, I know that there aren't 'stats' in most of them but the gameplay is comparable to the Seiken Densetsu series (without the heavy narrative) and other ones like Crystalis and Sorcerian.

Also, what about Zelda 2? There is exp and levels in that one (Although it was the exception to the series, and no one liked that one, and Ys 3 coincidentally)
