easy answer: god cant bless you because he is only in your minds... if you think he did then u probably just "blessed" yourself.

I see the same issue with ppl that pray, if god has a plan etc, then what are u praying for? are you begging him to change his mind about letting your child die of cancer? wouldnt that be be going against his will? or will he only help if you beg and worship him?

God Bless You means 'best of luck'. If luck made existence and you regard that as a good thing then its just a way of saying I wish good stuff on you. If you dont believe in God then just substitute luck (or chance) for God.

Saying "God Bless you is usually for the most part just a polite greeting". But God blesses us everyday just with simple things. You were able to see with your eyes today because God blessed you to.

Obviously god knows to bless every one, but even his 'post it note' reminders don't always stay stuck to the refrigerator and he can forget.

So christians say to one another, "god bless you" "and god bless you" "oh and tell Martha that i said, god bless you.. for her"
