the one problem i see in this story is that al1 would have had to stay out in that field for weeks just waiting in hopes that somehow even though barely anyone had even been to his site that someone would take the time to solve his riddle

When i saw the idea in the comments that Al1 was AdamButcher, i thought it was an interesting idea, but had no reason to believe it.
However.
"This is a true story about the internet. Please, don't go."
"The first person to find it" coupled with the text "not that simple" (which to be fair could easily have the same implications from the point of view of a person who simply knows the story, as AdamButcher does).
And simply the idea that Al1 would want his story to be recognised. Worth a thought.
