SONYA TAYEH

Sonya Tayeh was born in detroit, MI where she recieved her BFA in dance. In 2003 she became the co-director of the dance company of san francisco teaching a self titled modern street fused class called progressive contact. Traveling and teaching her craft across the globe has made sonya a prominent figure in the world of dance. She now lives in los angeles doing conceptualized projects and choreography with the d.o.c. and many others."I believe that having a strong sense of self as a human being allows movement to become natural like nature. Nature changes...it's constantly evolving. Being of this earth, we should do the same. If we move with nature, our bodies will never lie, it will simply be natural."
