Its called freedom of free speach Turkey, which your country dosent have.Thank god I live in a western country.Imagine you would imprison somebody or kill somebody, because they insulted with words your leader Ataturk or your country.We in America insult our leaders or speak out against our government and still live to tell about it.America is not perfect and I dont agree with all the wars,but it is by far the best place to live when it comes to freedoms.

To be fair Ataturk is the reason that Turkey is a politically secular state, if it weren't for him it would most likely be like its Arab neighbours.
Although it is still a backwards and reactionary society and is a LONG way away from fulfilling its ambition to join the EU.
It certainly won't join the EU before Croatia. I reckon Serbia and Bosnia will become members sooner than Turkey.
