@MantasiaHater Why does everyone make it a big deal that he lip syncs? This man has been performing his gift for us his ENTIRE life and all people do is complain. "Oh, he's lip-syncing," or "Oh, he doesn't dance the way he used to." Um...it's called aging and it happens to everyone....even him. He's said that he went onstage with toothached, backaches, leg pains etc. and still went on with the show for his 'fans' yet no sympathy for him. Just put yourself in his shoes even for a brief second....

nobody who went to a Michael Jackson concert cared less if he was lip syncing...he had nothing left to prove as a live singer...they went to see HIM..the man...the magic...yes the last half of the History tour he had to lip sync quite a bit because of throat problems....from all those YEARS of giving us everything he had...and he still went out there and gave it 1000 percent...a lot of artists would have just cancelled. He is the KING of music and dance..and also the hottest man on the planet!

Another tactic is the background singers. Hitting the notes for the artist if their voice is up to par to their standards.

A lot of artist lip syncs. It maynot be thru the whole song, but they do. I'm sure when they are on a whole tour, performing 3-4xs a week, 2 1/2 -3 hrs per show, up to 6-8 months out of the year, your voice is not going to be like it was in the beginnning of that tour. Or the artist may take a lot of intermissions to maybe avoid lip syncing. Either way, the vocal cords are put into overdrive. Hell, even the band has to rest all well. They follow the same schedule as the artist.
