I made a Matthew and Mary series 1 vid to this song a while ago and Ezzibbes watched it
and suggested that I make a Richard and Mary video to the same song once series two was
over. I promised I would and so here it is!

Firstly, I hope you like it and that it turned out the way that you imagined it. I tried to
make the song follow Mary's thought process; so firstly she blames Richard for the whole
situation because his nature makes it easy for her to think of him as the ochestrator of all
her misfortune. She then reflects on Matthew, because she often convinces herself that it
is only Matthew's feelings and circumstances that are preventing them from being together,
and finally she aknowledges that she herself and her actions play a far greater role in the
whole situation, so the final chorus is meant to be questioning her own conscience "who do you think you are, running round leaving scars?"... I hope all of that came across in three minutes hahaha!

Secondly, thank you so much for suggesting it:) It was really fun to work on an idea that was in someone else's head rather than my own and trying to make it work. This was a song I had always previously thought of as Matthew and Mary so it was a really good challenge to try and look at what the song
was saying in a different way!
