  • When I was a young child in the 1950s our family had the EP with Coulter's Candy and 3 other tracks and the record was played regularly.

I finally had the great pleasure of meeting Joe yesterday at his house in Ayrshire and he autographed a cd which I had purchased and which contained all the songs I loved listening to more than 50 years ago!

  • Thaks for posting. I lost all of the Joe Gordon 45's I had some years ago. I love his music. He is related to my Grandmother.

  • great video, i was bought up listening to the record ' the gay gordon' could never understand a word, very funny record, have just had it put on c.d. with songs like govan billard hall etc.

  • Young people (me included ) loved this programme, and loved Gene Vincent as well.

What I cannot understand is how you were able to watch (and hate) this programme in the early 1960's, given that, according to your Youtube channel you are only 29 at the present time.

  • George Hill.

  • George Hill and he's playing an Abbot Victor.

  • True. Good eyes!

  • Good to see Joe Gordon Folk Four brings back a load o` memories.

    Incidentally:

The original host of the WHC was Robert Wilson after his death in 1964 Andy Stewart took over as host.
