Snow Days has kicked off in Banff National Park, and it was a terrific first week with free ice climbing lessons, a pancake breakfast, curling lessons and loads of more excitement!
Here is a look at the ice climbing lessons right in the heart of downtown Banff. The legendary guides from Yamnuska Mountain Adventures will show you how to get up a 20 foot ice wall, and these free lessons have been extended for the January 21/22nd weekend!
Also this weekend, in its 18th year, is Ice Magic in Lake Louise! Catch some of the world's best ice carvers as they transform massive blocks of ice into incredible, if not permanent, art. All by the shores of Lake Louise and the beautiful Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
As well, the "One Hour, One Block, One Carver" event at the Lake Louise Inn-2:30 pm on Saturday, January 21st. This is the race car version of ice carving, and never disappoints the fans!
