A North Carolina ghost hunter seeking the 'ghost train' was hit and killed by real train.
In STATESVILLE a man was with about 12 people were all looking for the legendary "ghost train"
in Iredell County was hit by a locomotive and killed early Friday morning.
This occured on a train trestle at 2:45 a.m. near Buffalo Shoals Road.
Spokesperson for Norfolk-Southern Railroad, Robin Chapman, said the train headed east consisted of
three locomotives.
The train was on a curve when a trestle approached over Boston Creek
right before Buffalo Shoals Road. The man was struck on the trestle, said Chapman.
Christopher Kaiser, 29, died at the scene, two people were injured,
Iredell County Sheriff Phillip Redmond reported Kaiser's body was found below the trestle down a steep incline.
The condition of the injured is still not known.
The witnesses told deputies they were there in hopes of seeing a 'ghost train'.
The sheriff said the incident happened on the anniversary of a train wreck that occurred at that same location on 1891.

I heard his last words was: "Wait a minute, that train is real!!! RUN!!!" Well, at least he died during a relative successful ghost train outing. There was indeed screeching of wheels and screaming heard that morning. His fellow ghost spotter friends will probably believe he will haunt the that bridge now - And will be standing in the middle of it while waiting for the ghost of Christopher Kaiser to appear at the date and time of his death.

that was one of my best friends right there he was truly one of the good ones. I still can't believe it. I don't know many people on this earth that would do what he did he saved his girlfriends life and we all love and miss him very much,I'm so saddened that the world lost such a great person. RIP, he will be truly missed. ♥
