Saying Faith is based on insecurity is a blanket statement and simplistic.

A skeptic of one belief is a true believer in another.

Deepak have his line of reasoning and others have their own the difference is that Deepaks is now promoted the sane way organized religion was promoted itself before the printing press and also after. The issue isn't one of "logic" but of language. The word "belief" was used by Chopra to refer to systems of faith, not our means of communication (which is ambiguous and symbolic). And even if Chopra "believed" something our of insecurity, so what? Faith is based on insecurity. See Alan Watts' Taoism study, The Wisdom of Insecurity. Chopra had no response because there was none to give: it was a misuse of words. Why argue with nonsense? (Which, granted, is what I am doing at the moment.)

this obviously does not support my belief in God but that fact that he was stumped by his own logic shows his logic is hypocritical to himself since he also has a belief in which he believes therefore it is a cover up to his insecurities as well. he was not tricked but was asked a very logical question to the statement he said. and the question the man from the audiences asked if "all belief" whether or not it is blind is your own assumption and belief...
