@AntiFeminaziMale Lol, are you kidding me? Ali had no choice but to cover up and play rope a dope because if Foreman had connected once or twice that would hve been the end. And Ali was also exhausted he was 7 yrs older than Foreman. It's true, I grant u that Ali was the smartest man in boxing, but not the greatest or the best by far. He was smart, tactical and very lucky against Foreman...but nobody wants to question his merit, do they?

@miguelhtp1966 bullshit lol. ali was playing 'rope a dope' hello? foreman was way too slow, and ali was toying with him. you dont know shit about boxing lol. if foreman got up, ali would've sent him right back down and again and again lol. and i dont even LIKE ali, he's a prick but ali outsmarted foreman, end of story.

@danhantheman A True Champion, the One and Only, Self Made, Smokin' Joe Frazier! In my opinion better than Ali and he proved he was! Because he didn't beat Foreman? I don't believe Ali did either, that fight when Foreman hit the canvas in the 8th was a hoax if only the Ref. had let him go on Ali would have lost.

@RapedByRepublicans it was indeed tailor made for Foreman. And Quarry shows that he was poor at avoiding punches. Just came straight in, didnt even try to duck the punches. Only knocked off his feet once, by Chuvalo. His style unfortunately led to his having dementia in his later ytrs, b4 he passed. RIP Jerry and Joe---this was named Fight of the Year.

@danhantheman Foreman was strong but not very skilled, or fast, and he blasted out Fraizer twice. I just dont see a small boxer end the Klitschkos career. All athletes develops you know. Jesse Owens was a great runner, his winning time in OL in Berlin 1936 was 10,3 sec, Usain Bolts worlds record is 9,58 sec.

@stlrockn they would certainly have to fcking EARN their paychecks. not david haye bullshit. JOE FRAZIER would give any man in boxing today absolute hell. win or lose, he'd end their careers

It's odd that Cosell didn't note that Quarry was not using his right at all, not simply not using it with power or effectiveness. I'm not sure whether he broke that hand or not but it sure looked like it; he was resting his right hand completely by the last two rounds eve when there were obvious openings or chances to use it. Dundee must have been right. Great first round w/o a doubt but the later rounds became one-sided in F's favor.

Crying or not, would you call him a crybaby if you saw him on the street? Of course he's no longer with us.
