@E7TE I beg to differ. The slides cracked on 92's because of improper heat treating. And they still turn up from time to time. I currently have two on the bench that came in for repair, both have cracked slides and one with a crack in the frame. The Colt 1911 has been around longer and with far fewer problems.Beretta makes a good gun, but the 92 has had an inordinate number of problems. Use of a recoil buffer will help but it is not a cure if you get a bad one.

Do what it is manufactured for then no probs

@E7TE It happened when they fired thousands of rounds of +P++ submachine gun ammo.

@E7TE The 1911's system is more reliable, and so is the Makarov / Walther PPK's.

I own several beretta firearms and i love shooting everyone of them. I dont own a 92 but i do own a 96 brigadier. shoots like a dream and packs a little more punch than the 9mm.

@E7TE you forgot the m1911, the browning p-35, cz 75, etc

im tired of retards knocking reloaded ammo. reload it yourself or don't use it.

I can hit shotgun shells at 15 yds with my Beretta FS 9mm. Unbelievable accurracy.I had my wife with me and shot 3 shotgun shells with 3 shots from my Beretta. This gun is super accurate....and reliable. Never a jam or stovepipe..ever. I am a good shot....but could not do this with my S&W 45 M&P (which I still like...just not as accurate), a Ruger P345, or a Springfield XD 40. I've shot Glocks as well...just as .reliable but not as accurate.

@E7TE What about the 1911? It's reliable. Not going to argue about stopping power lol. I'm just trying to play Devil's Advocate.
@SDR978
Got mine for $350 but it was quite used. $450 is a good price for a good condition 92fs.

@E7TE Not that the Beretta is a bad gun, buy if you call it the most proven semi auto on the face of the earth, you've obviously never heard of the 1911.
