14°F last night
31°F at the time of startup @ 4:30pm

Truck has Innovative Diesel Xtreme Street tune, straight pipe exhaust.

There's not much to see except for a bit of smoke. The audio says a lot about the truck, which needs new injectors and a bulletproof kit. Runs and drives very well @ ~140,000 miles.

This was part of a warm-up test to collect data about water temperature warm-up at idle (computer determined) with no accessories.

0:00 -- 24°F -- Cold start, was a bit cranky, nothing out of the ordinary
2:00 -- 44°F -- Engine ramps up to 1000 rpm fast idle (normal idle speed is 650 rpm)
3:30 -- 62°F
5:00 -- 78°F
6:30 -- 91°F -- oil temp follows water temp by ~15°F
8:00 -- 101°F
9:30 -- 112°F
11:00 -- 121°F
12:30 -- 128°F -- fast idle begins dropping @ 130°F, 900 RPM at this time
14:00 -- 136°F -- oil temp following water temp by ~8°F
15:30 -- 143°F -- idle speed 800 RPM
17:00 -- 150°F -- idle speed 750 RPM
18:30 -- 155°F -- EGR begins cycling (EGR closed prior to this temp)
20:00 -- 160°F -- idle speed 700 RPM, oil temp following water temp by ~5°F
21:00 -- 164°F -- idle speed restores to 650 RPM, thermostat starts to crack (fully open by 194°). I consider anything within this range to be its "operating temperature." In the winter it stays closer to 164. In the summer it's closer to 194.

PTO idle (1200 RPM) at 6:15 - 7:00 in video.
