@ZolleriuxX It's also available in Japan under the title "悪魔の招待状"/Akuma no Shoutaijou", or "Devil's invitation" in English.

@Shoe3003 Also, Uninvited did only get released in the U.S. That might have been another reason. I'd personally say that Uninvited is my favorite, even though it had lame deaths as well. "You didn't open the no-ghost!"

part of the problem was probably that Uninvited came out near the end of the NES's life cycle, gamers were saving up for the Super Nintendo so this game didn't sell as well as the other two did, that's my best guess why it didn't get as much attention as it deserved

I always thought this one seemed kind of underrated out of the three. Deja Vu apparently had a sequel and both got re-released on one cartridge on Gameboy. Shadowgate had a sequel or two and the first one got re-released on Gameboy as well. But I always kind of liked Uninvited the best (narrowly beating out Shadowgate) and it seems like they never touched it again after the NES and hardly anyone ever seems to remember it.

Yeah, I always thought the Amiga box art was much more appropriate. (probably the same as the mac version?) :) But at least the NES game had the music!
