yeah having something setup like this is cool, but if the train derails, its pretty much destroyed unless you get lucky lol so I rather not unless I had a platform or net on either side to catch the train if it derails!!!

I had a elevated G scale train layout once. It was a Bachman train set and it did derail to a destructive mess on the floor. That was pretty much the end of my elevated G scale railroad. Most places I seen with elevated railroads now have clear lexan screwed to the sides so the train can't come off. I even seen others use small wood trim as gaurd rails on the sides. Anyway, I started over again on the floor this time, I found thats the best place for G scale.

I Once Went To A Restraunt That Had SD70MACS Running Around The Restraunt Ceiling

even more than that if it lands on something- like a smaller model railroad (like in this video)

nice i would also be afraid of my train falling. Like $120 smashed and ruined.
-
ya that would be pretty creepy because those holders that it is on could rock n roll around when train comes by
-
Is that a smaller layout down there?

i would not be nerly brave enough to do this, and that is hard for me to not be brave...
with the falling trains andthat... lol.
how do u stop the tie downs from not swaying enuff to jump the train

The swaying is not enough to jump the train as I run it at a slow speed.
