does it output raw sensor data or is it filtered? if so, can it be parametrized and ttl connected? spi, uart, etc??

actually yes you would need both. with a 3 axis gyroscope you can only tell which way the thing is pointing, ie its orientation. you still need accelerometers if you wish the device to sence movement other than a rotation about its axes. ie in a strait line. get a fucking clue before you open your yap.
