I used this method, yesterday i had 2 chickens, now i have over 100 feathers, and 100 chicken breasts! Now thats what i call KFC!

If you use Mo'Creatures go into settings and under "vanilla" there is a "despawn" option...turn it off. I imagine if you like this you have mo'creatures installed.

@MrSeriouslySerious Hey I figured it out, If you have MoCreatures, then the animals will despawn after 2 minecraft days. Just thought Id let you know incase anyone else wonders.

I made a big farm on a slight raised platform. There are about 10 small pens, 2 large ones and a 2 block high wall around it all... The animals keep despawning!!! PLEASE HELP!

@xSyllablesx I'm not sure why they keep despawning, if you're playing on multiplayer you do know that wild animals despawn when you contain them. My trick to breeding animals online is using the babies only and building from them...
Good luck, if they're despawning on singleplayer then i have no idea why and I am not much of a help
