The Glock model 19 is a medium sized version of the Austrian firm's famous model 17. Larry Potterfield, CEO and Founder of MidwayUSA, shoots this high capacity, 9mm handgun at twenty feet to see how it rates overall as a conceal and carry handgun in three important areas.

  • @midwayusa So why choose the 124gr over the 124gr +p in this test vs the others? That changes the results a bit.

  • @Katkinson21 You are correct, using the +p or +p+ would change the results a bit - good point!

  • The Glock 19 has a FULL CAPACITY, 15 round 9MM magazine.

Whether that is "high capacity" is left to subjective determination. And it should NEVER be allowed to be determined for you by corrupt government officials.

  • Wouldn't this scoring system have more to do with the shooter skill, rather than the gun?

  • @JustinFromSydney LOL... yeah but Larry uses any excuse to get in front of a camera.....

  • you shoot that one very well

  • Thats funny ; my 19 holds 33 rounds and one in the pipe, lol.:)

  • @JustinFromSydney No. The dependent variable are the varying handguns but the independent variable is consistent throughout. The same shooter used for every trial.

  • Just watched this video along with the Springfield XD video. It looks like they tested both im 9mm. However, when they go into the "knockdown factor" portion of the video, they use the 9mm JHP +P score for the Springfield XD, and the regular 9mm score for the glock. The score difference is 30 points, but it shows a bit of bias from video to video. Compare apples to apples, using similar loads.

  • The camera is a little more to the left...

Also, to everyone saying the scoring is for a shooter, not the gun: they are using the same subject so all the guns get the same test, which then makes the scores the guns get, legit. It's like in Top Gear, how they use The Stig.

  • mentiroso esa glock pega muy bien el lento es el tirador y la s&w m&p es inferior a las glock

  • @JustinFromSydney Because the same person does this every time it actually does give a good basis for comparison. It shows what this particular person is able to do with these guns showing which ones are easier to use or more effective. If it were a different person each time or he only reviewed two guns then I could see your point.
