Some, such as the multiple groups that call themselves some variation on "The Illuminati Order"[14][15][16] use the name directly in the name of their organization, while others, such as the Ordo Templi Orientis, use the name as a grade of initiation within their organization.

This all seems like a bunch of bullshit. Nothing new. This shit happens everyday. None of these claims of "illuminati" make sense. The original illuminati or the early 1700's slowly faded away after about 5-10 years...simply because they were not powerful enough to stand up against politics (which was their main purpose).
