This will backfire in a way as people will get lazy and stop looking at the road. The "real-time" is still a few milliseconds behind. In that time, a crash on the freeway could happen.

lolol LG GT-540!! That phone is such a piece of shit, I have it, the battery lasts like 10 minutes and only has like 75mb of internal memory.

Blaupunkt has a similar nav system for a while now.

How about using the same technology but placing it on your windshield as a display or projection. You wouldn't need the camera. It would just show the path and some other information. It could also highlight certain things like rest stops and restaurants as you go. It would have to be very dim so that it doesn't block your view though. Thumbs up if you like this idea!
