Eastern Coyote Hunting at Night with Electronic caller: New York Fox

NIGHT HUNT, so not much footage of the fox but just so everyone knows we're using a IF light on sony camera with IF booster light. Then of course there's the spotlight mounted on the gun.

I hate seeing animals die. What are the benefits to hunting Coyotes? Population check?

@Atheyst I'm sorry this is probably not the best channel for you then, but yes, predator hunting has most everything to do with population check. They are destroying our deer population. Deer, which I really depend on to fill my freezer for the winter. Our numbers are depressingly low in my area, and predator numbers are through the roof, unfortunately.

Actuallly only at the very end was it the white light. Earlier in the hunt we were using the infrared light for the night mode on the camera.

@Atheyst The coyotes kill everything. Rabbits, deer, birds, and pretty much everything they can get their mouth on. Unless you dont like (well in your terms) "wittle bunny wabbits" then you wont like coyotes.

I actually usually use an amber cover. I like it a little better because you can see a little farther out with it, yet still takes out the white light. I use red too. If I think there is any chance of a red or yote, then I always use a red or amber lense. Greys aren't affected (atleast here) near as much as they are.

Hey sleddog, I'm not these guys but I use a .22mag for all of my fox calling rifle wise with a trueglo 3-12x50 with lighted reticles. I use a 12ga with anywhere from 4 shot up to 00buck. A lot of people will use a .204 or .223 for a rifle if there might be coyotes. Most of my shooting is within 150yds though. We also use a handheld light (not that theirs is bad in any way) from brighteyes. 21volt belt light. Super bright and super light. Hope it helps!!
