Push ups are a good strength exercise. It involves utilizing body weight. It is important to maintain proper body position, keeping the core stabilized and staying in neutral spine while performing the exercise. Using the agility ladder is a creative way to do push ups and it also involves accuracy of the hands while still maintaining a proper horizontal stance.
