Umanned cargo delivery = Free supplies to the enemy

very clever

@TiagoTiagoT Kaman experimented with remote controlled syncropters in the fifties already. The Kaman intermeshing rotor design is inherently stable which made it very easy to fly. Nowadays, with automated stability augmentation systems, "ordinary" helicopters would also be useable. The K-Max has other advantages though: It is a purpose designed flying crane, is simple and can lift a huge weight in relation to the size of the (single) engine employed.

What benefits does the K-MAX offers over other platforms that can be converted into unmanned? In other words, why did you guys choose to use it instead of other models?

Beats GI Joes and grocery bags.

That looks like satan designed it to cut people up, and, it flies.
I think I would like it flying over enemy lines, low, and fast, so if they did shoot it down, they would be shredded. That's what it looks like, Dark Reign, the future of war, the shredder, except that it flies.

so is that helicopter like rc heli but bigger?

Can I get one to fly in Microsoft Flight Simulator X?
I didn't really get the purpose? And is that a new helicopter?

@wellerocks the tests are to show that the unmanned K-MAX helicopter can resupply troops with cargo airdropped by parachute, adding a new delivery method for the helicopter. The helicopter itself is not new - what is new is that Lockheed Martin and Kaman have transformed it into an unmanned aircraft system for autonomous cargo delivery.
