"On a quiet Sunday night in the middle of April with the rest of Downtown Portland seemingly in a state of hibernation I pretty much literally stumbled across this Irish-themed bar and upon entering was instantly at home. This is my sorta bar, unfussy decor, good Guinness, excellent friendly service and a bunch of nice people met. From the lady who worked on The DownEaster to my new smoking and drinking buddies what started off as a few relaxing beers became an impromptu mini party, a bit of singing, then the whiskies and a good night was had by all.

Very impressive, really good craic*, but then it is the people who make a place and here they certainly did".
