A instruction video where I show you how to make your own flared aero ports.

You will need A Metal Bowl, A Piece Of Wood, A Heat Gun & Some PVC Pipe.

Flared Aero Ports are aprox 3db louder then a normal pvc port.

Remember to put the connection end in your enclosure so you can remove & tune the other section easily. It also really helps to keep the shape if you add water down the tube & add some water around the flare on the outside. This way the pipe will not contract together & make the flare smaller.

  • nice, i used pvc for ports but didnt flare the ends and it made crap noise. but how do you get that to stay in the box? are these better than slot ports? cuz i made some slot ports and they sounded good.

  • @ihitatree Flared ports sound great, so do proper slot ports. They stay in the box the same way a regular round port would. If you want you can even press them against somthing flat while they are hot so it gives it a flat surface around the end to screw into the box easy. I forgot to cover that part in the video.

  • @ChuchStreetPoetry cool thanks, but how do you make that first peice you had at the begining? like how the longer part fits inside it. or did you just use a fitting already made like that?

  • @ihitatree The pipe comes like that already, I used IPEX drainage PVC pipe. One end is made so you can fit runs together by just pushing them in. As long as you can find drainage piping to use, most other brands should come like this as well. You can easily use a fitting adapter if you cant find IPEX piping around your area.

Use thin wall PVC. IIRC it's $7 for 12' at Lowes.

  • Good video. Been brainstorming how to flare ports, as well. Probably lot easier and faster with two people. Thinking of using lightweight plastic pipe. 4" PVC pipe can get VERY expensive (> $20/ft.)

  • Thanks for providing the video. I followed your guidance to make my own, and they came out well.

  • nice work man!

  • it looks like a bazookA :D
