The rapid spread of animal feed plantations across South America is wiping out rainforests and destroying the communities who've lived on the land for centuries. The Killing Fields lifts the lid on the battle to feed our factory farms.

  • More people need to see this...

  • Unfortunately advocating veganism isn't, IMO, going to endear people to this important challenge of changing our farming practices. I think we need to educate our friends and encourage less meat/dairy eating, rather than abstinence.

For a useful resource in this mission I recommend the Part-Time Carnivore website.

  • The forgotten consequences of meat. People think it's only animals that are the victims, but we're also killing ourselves. A non-meat diet or at the very least a low meat diet (we have to be pragmatic somewhat) is the only solution to this.

  • @leannebridgewater

I have NO idea what your reply has to do with my comment?

  • @g4macdad

just think, it isn't ethical to eat a soul, a living being, is it? you are the problem, a small minded controlled person, who site in a square box, and the only thing you hobby is doing up your car, to look the bomb. hmm, bomb aye

  • tupac made a song about this

  • I think it isnt necessary to give up meat. Eating much less and choose home grown organic meat for example qould be a start. Some people eat meat every day. Eating less would improve our health too... a double plus!

Demanding labelling of GMO fed meat too. Consumers can change the world!!!" Big companies cant do this with an informed public which insists on our right to know and acts accordingly.

  • Thank you for the English subtitles!

  • @leannebridgewater People don't need to STOP eating meat. You are ludicrous. This is the force of DESPOTIC Multinational Corporations. There is NO democratic influence on these corporations WHATSOEVER.

This is a One World Government, where PEOPLE have NO say at all. REGULATIONS within our DEMOCRATIC Governments is the ONLY defense. If you vote for a DESPOTIC right-wing government, YOU are the only REAL problem.

  • It does make me laugh though.. I used to work for FOE and I had to fill people in on the soy industry/ the palm and the forest - alll this destroyment due to the way we're feeding our livestock... and fair enough FOE had campaigns to improve farming... but there's a big grey sky there... if you think about it... the only reason the country's are in this wreck is due to people eating meat - if people stopped... our animals would just live on our crops...

  • i'm vegan, and i believe i am saving the world because first of all i'm using the materials that are naturally coming from the earth ... there are 112 minerals in the earth, like iron, nickle, phosphorus, etc, and they're the minerals in our body - so that's the planted planet way... but really - i love FOE's aims, yet most of them i met were meat eaters.. so it frazzled me. i think there was 2 vegetarians,, that's it.. who i met .. out of about 12. ?
