This portion of I-30 is already very deep into the planning stages. Definitely will rival I-635 as the biggest freeway in Dallas. Construction will likely beat Project Pegasus to construction, like LBJ.
If you're wondering why Dallas is seeing such massive and aggressive freeway expansion, consider DFW surpassed Houston in metro size in the late 90s and is finally getting its projects priority. Houston long dominated such funds. Dallas is also being rewarded for its rapid rail expansion.
