This is clips from the full video. He didn't change without explaining. It was just left out of this preview.

He changed his picture midstream without explaining that he used a masking fluid on the trees after sketching his picture. He painted the fluid wherever he didn't want the paint to go. It's a resist. After the masking fluid dried, THEN he wet the paper down with a wide flat brush, and then he put the colors on. After the colors dried, he removed the masking fluid. I think you can rub it off like rubber cement (I don't recommend using that as a sub). The devil is in the details, as they say.

You have to say the magic words. He forgot to tell you that. for that buy his book and DVD

The vid is messed up... Wrong ending I think..

Would like to see how his painting went from dark trees to white trees.

Yeah... I have this guy's book and it sucks I think. I just threw my paintbrush at my paper. He just says "Do this, do this, add another wash" he doesn't tell you HOW to do those things. My crappy painting didn't look anything like the one in the book!!

yeah I think I missed something also. And it jumps from painting the black of the trees to talking about salt. Maybe its just an extract of a fuller more detailed video... but still, it should say that somewhere!
How did the trees go from black to white?
