but the lad is right, ireland is too urban, big fancy houses with two people living in them dotted around the countryside like spots on a teenagers face. if people want to work, socailise and live in dublin then stay within the city. lobby for highrise skyscrapers to live in, it works in other major cities. people in this country are culturally lost in a commercial marketing society, what will they do when theres no money to sustain it? nothing, and then this land will truly look disgraceful

With the greatest respect, the protests are now a distant memory, and the road now built is not only unseen and unheard from the Hill of Tara, but in fairness, has improved greatly the lives of those who use it on a daily basis. The road has also taken a lot of traffic off the old N3 death road. It still strikes me as odd how JRM said 'the road wasn't the real problem, but nice of him to make an appearance even though he admitted as an Irish man he knew hardly anything about the Hill.

dont build a road where the kings of zion where coronated ffs!

@MrSaoreire You must work for him so, with such ignorant comments and name calling anyone who does not agree with you. I am not intimidated by your hateful comments. Were you trying to be intimidating?

M3 Motorway opens Friday 4th June.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers must be blind if he cannot see the petrol stations, B&B's , house's and the many side roads that are already there all along the N3 and around the Hill of Tara. Despite all this the vast majority of County Meath is still rural.

@tuathal101 A quiet country road this is supposed to have 22,000+ cars on it everyday, or the Irish get to pay taxes for not using it - not so "quiet country" now is it?

They will have to stop, they are bound to find more ancient relics.

Get over it!! its no were near that hill off clay. your giving out about to much fucken traffic we built a motorway and you give out. what NEXT sure we knocked alot off trees also.
The M3 crosses over the N3 at Blundelstown 50 acres interchange, 1000 metres from the top of the Hill. Then it runs closer. Comparing a quiet country road to a motorway is ridiculous anyway. Get your facts straight
