    There are some in the shed which are preserved..

    Most are being mothballed for spares,some will be scrapped. The very odd one may be saved and restored. A company called "Harry Needle" i think owns them. They are scrap merchants say no more...

  • On the contrary Vader. Boring as they may be, Diesels are not evil. Their just another type of locomotive. But yes, I'm not saddened by seeing diesels left for scrapping either, though rusting steamers do make me sad.

  • most of them work but a lot come in for work and then go back out again you can see them running at galas

  • Well not all of them can survive just like the steam engines .
