I'm talking about long before the Fedor vs Werdum fight. Fedor chose to run from Overeem and fight Rogers. Fedor should not have ran from Overeem.

Strikeforce was already going bankrupt before the UFC bought them. Strikeforce failed to put on the fights people wanted to see (ex: Fedor vs Overeem) and their big named fighters lost to nobody's. Strikeforce could have made a lot of money with Fedor vs Overeem but Fedor ran from Overeem, Strikeforce didn't make Fedor fight Overeem and then they went bankrupt.
The UFC had nothing to do with Strikeforce not having Fedor vs Overeem. Strikeforce messed that up themselves.

@Stefan990 not true. they (zuffa) buy them out then run them in the ground. SF has a more balanced rank system, opposed to UFC where they just put whoever they want vs whoever. how else could such inexperienced fighters such as john jones, or brock lesner get title shots out of nowhere? come on guy, get real.

The UFC bought the other organizations because they were already going bankrupt. Strikeforce was going bankrupt and the U.F.C. bailed them out. Strikeforce doesn't make good matches like the UFC. Instead of having Fedor vs Overeem they have Rogers vs Overeem. They could have put someone else like Bobby Lashley against Overeem and made a huge event. Strikeforce puts their big named guys against losers, then their big named guys lose, and then Strikeforce goes out of business.
